U.S. Congressman John Barrow (GA-12) issued the following statement after U.S. military forces announced that they had killed Osama bin Laden, leader of the Al Qaeda terrorist network and mastermind of the 9-11 attacks: “This is a true victory for our country, and it shows that Americans are committed to fighting terrorism wherever it hides, and for however long it takes. Our military leaders, intelligence community, and brave men and women who executed the raid that killed bin Laden deserve special commendation today.
